Peter and I were colleagues in the pharmaceutical industry for two decades. He was a gentle giant of a man, with a huge intellect and an even bigger heart. He was more comfortable working away in the background than taking centre stage, but would do whatever was required with a smile and a commitment to the team. He worked hard for the benefit of his team of scientists , and was a great proponent of their very positive impact on all our lives. I loved working with him and was privileged to have received his support (I think he was a closet feminist!).
I send my very sincere and heartfelt condolences to Cilla, Joanna, Chris and their families, and wish them a meaningful period of mourning, followed by a bright future, carrying beautiful memories of Peter.
